The Rise Community Hub

In collaboration with community builder Andy Beck, Jeffery's firm PRT Planning helped to envision a renewed community hub for the Riverside neighborhood in Indianapolis.

From Beck,

"The focus of this project is a former concrete plant in the Riverside, Indianapolis neighborhood. The site is underdeveloped and has the potential for several new residential and commercial buildings, a gardening area, and a community gathering space. The Indiana Central Canal runs alongside the site bringing a piece of nature to the urban industrial location. The ongoing construction of the Indy Greenway Central Canal Towpath adjacent to the project site will improve safe biking options, walkability, and will provide a point of access to the community space area of the project. The Riverside neighborhood is developing, and property values are rising. This has led community organizations to plan for a hopeful space where lower income Black neighbors could have a space to live while the real estate market develops around them."
